This weekend I had the most wonderful Fourth of July of my life. You may ask what makes any given Independence Day wonderful? Well feeling like an All-American sure helps. In my day to day life, like many 20 somethings (at least the ones I know), I am a jaded skeptic when it comes to "rah-rah" American patriotism. Don't get my wrong, I do like America. I just don't talk about it or feel it on a regular basis. But this Fourth of July, I felt rah-rah because of all the All-American things I did! - Go on a road trip (Cincinnati)
- Go to a Baseball Game (Cincinnati Reds)
- Have a barbeque with friends (Cincinnati)
- Have a barbeque with family (Dayton)
- Be in a town parade (Oregon District)
- Wave an American flag (Oregon District)
- Be in a three legged race (Oregon District)
- Sing God Bless America (twice; baseball game and at a parade on a kazoo!)
- Eat ice cream from a ice cream truck (Oregon District)
- Eat an apple pie
- Drink from a mason jar
