Things To Do On The Fourth Of July That Make You Feel All-Ameircan

via Oregon District Wordpress

This weekend I had the most wonderful Fourth of July of my life. You may ask what makes any given Independence Day wonderful? Well feeling like an All-American sure helps. In my day to day life, like many 20 somethings (at least the ones I know), I am a jaded skeptic when it comes to "rah-rah" American patriotism. Don't get my wrong, I do like America. I just don't talk about it or feel it on a regular basis. But this Fourth of July, I felt rah-rah because of all the All-American things I did! So, if you are interested in having a All-American holiday at some point in your life here is my list of...

THINGS TO DO ON THE FOURTH OF JULY
THAT MAKE YOU FEEL ALL-AMERICAN
(plus some info on me)

  • Go on a road trip (Cincinnati)
  • Go to a Baseball Game (Cincinnati Reds)
  • Have a barbeque with friends (Cincinnati)
  • Have a barbeque with family (Dayton)
  • Be in a town parade (Oregon District)
  • Wave an American flag (Oregon District)
  • Be in a three legged race (Oregon District)
  • Sing God Bless America (twice; baseball game and at a parade on a kazoo!)
  • Eat ice cream from a ice cream truck (Oregon District)
  • Eat an apple pie
  • Drink from a mason jar
Do you have things you do on the Fourth of July (or any day) that make you feel like an All-American?
