The Treasure Barn Antique Mall (or Treasure barn for short) is amazing. My friend Rachael told me about this gem (Dayton is truly the Gem City with finds like these) and in less than two months I have already bought several items. At this point you are probably wondering what the Treasure Barn is...well, it's a large two story barn that houses individual booths that are full of antique, thrift and assorted items. I have read some reviews on this place that complained that not all of the items are antique and that is true. There are quiet a few booths that have items that are no older than a few years but the beauty is that there are so many booths and so much stuff you can peruse all day to decide what is good to buy. This also means the prices vary wildly from booth to booth so take your time before buying. Some of the items there include: furniture, globes, mason jars, chests, old paintings, telephone chairs, rugs, jewelry, perfume, and more! So yea, it truly is a barn full of treasures that you should check out!

cute chair from Sears. I liked it but the price wasn't right.
MY BENCH! Or as Kyle calls it our dining room couch (yup, it sits at our dining room table and I love it). It cost less than a $100 which has become a rule for me when it comes to thrifting; don't buy anything that costs more than $100. I got this rule from this lovely blog The Brick House and I think it makes a lot of sense.

1st, I LOVE the direction that you're taking your blog!!! I wish so badly that someone here in Cinci had a blog like this. 2nd- I'm super excited that you featured this place because you had told me about it and I'm gonna be looking for a bunch of furniture, etc. when I get up there and this seems like the perfect place. AND I'm really excited to try that Mexican place.

Thank-you!! It's been really fun getting reacquainted with the area. I hope to venture all over Southern Ohio and find all sorts of neat places.
ReplyDeleteTreasure Barn is so great! It has a lot of rustic pieces but every now and then they have mid-century stuff which makes it thrilling to find! You have to browse and really hunt but that's the fun of it :D
