Tips: Cleaning Red Rings a Bathtub

Occasionally I like to share tips. The tips will be on anything but for some reason I can only think of cleaning tips when it comes to writing a post probably because I'm obsessive when it comes to cleaning. My title is a bit vague and I was considering putting a photo up of what I'm talking about but I couldn't bare the look of it. Instead, I put up the product that will help you remove the stain. When I say red ring I mean a reddish ring that forms on  a bathtub after leaving a shampoo/soap bottle on top of the tub for too long. This may have never happened to you but it happened to me 3 years ago. Since it happened so long ago I can't find the source that gave me this handy tip:

Tip: Use Clorox 2 (for colors) to scrub red ring stains off an old bathtub.

I believe the red ring was rust from soap and water sitting (oxidizing?) underneath the bottles but I'm not 100% sure. In any case, I tried everything to remove the stains; soap, baking soda, vinegar, and bleach. Nothing worked but the Colorox 2! I haven't needed to use this tip again because we moved to a place that has a synthetic insert that doesn't get rust. But if you have an old tub that has red stains, try the Colorox 2. With some light scrubbing, the stains fade away right before your eyes.
