I've been inspired by another commenter to try something new at the blog. JafaBrit's Art found my post about the Dayton Street Cirque Carnival and was kind enough to leave a link that showed the schedule of the Carnival. How great is that!? The power of the internet hard at work! So now I want to know more blogs that post about Southern Ohio (Dayton, Yellow Springs, Cincinnati, etc). Sure I could google it but it would be really neat if the "power of the internet" helped folks find my post here and they would share their blogs in the comments. What I'll do is take all the blogs posted and put them in my google reader (huge fan). That way I can keep track of new posts from all the blogs and find neat events to go to. I will post reviews of the places I go to and whatever blog I found the event through I will certainly credit. ah! i love this! i hope you have tons of submissions- i've been trying really hard to find other blogs like yours because i would love to connect to other bloggers in our area, but no such success yet :( btw, do you use bloglovin'? for some reason, i find it a lot easier to read that google reader. maybe i'm just not as familiar with google reader?

me too! It is hard to find blogs about this area. I use yelp but a blog is more fun, intimate and I love comments. I was inspired by Cleveland bloggers. They have a pretty big community. We should start a group for Southern Ohio bloggers! I'm sure folks are out there just hard to find. I just signed up for bloglovin, I'll give it a try. I like greader because I use google everything :p but variety is good
ReplyDeletei think that's such a great idea. how do you start a "group" of bloggers? i use google for EVERYTHING too, lol, so maybe i should make the switch. i hadn't heard of google reader til i read your post, so i've only checked it out for a few minutes!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, haha. The Cleveland folks have them grouped together on another blog I think. A blogroll would be a good start and I noticed you put me on yours! Thank-you! I'll start one up here of Southern Ohio blogs I find. I'll definitely add yours :)
